    This paper examines the decisive importance which the work of Switzerland's only – albeit now completely forgotten – Nobel Prize winner for Literature had on the development of Swiss prose in the 20th century, and all this without receiving any critical attention whatsoever. The article will also try to give an answer to one of the most frequently asked questions: why such a prestigious award was granted to an author whose name has not managed to travel beyond the borders of Switzerland or the limits of his lifetime. Die vorliegende Arbeit versucht herauszuarbeiten, dass das Werk des einzigen, heute völlig vergessenen Schweizer Literaturnobelpreisträgers eine entscheidende Rolle für die Herausbildung der Schweizer Prosa des 20. Jahrhunderts gespielt hat, ohne dass die literarische Kritik dies in irgendeiner Weise zur Kenntnis genommen hätte. Andererseits wird auch versucht, eine sehr oft gestellte Frage zu beantworten: Warum ein so wichtiger Preis an einen Schriftsteller verliehen wurde, dessen Werk es nicht gelungen ist, eine deutliche Wirkung über die Grenzen der Schweiz und die seiner Zeit hinaus zu entfalten.

    The study "Two poems of Friedrich Hölderlin" is Walter Benjamin's first major critical work. Regarding this essay, the interpreters have been so far concerned with Benjamin's more general thesis and influences, without taking further acknowledgement of the heterodox twists active on his exegetical strategies. But, beyond the veil of the essay's methodological principles, it is possible to recognize the roots of a modern approach to Hölderlin's poetics, where the classical idealistic motives are replaced with a more sensual and materialist reading. Such turn would respond to the presence of early intuitions that eventually will become significant critical axes in Benjamin's thought. El estudio "Zwei Gedichte von Friedrich Hölderlin" es el primer ensayo crítico de Walter Benjamin. Respecto de dicho ensayo, los intérpretes se han concentrado en sus tesis e influencias más generales, sin reconocer por otro lado ciertos giros heterodoxos presentes en su lectura de Hölderlin. Así, tras el velo de sus postulados crítico-metodológicos, es possible reconocer un abordaje moderno de la poética hölderliniana, donde los motivos filosóficoidealistas aparecen desplazados por una lectura sensual y materialista. Dicho giro obedece a la presencia de intuiciones que más tarde constituirán los ejes fundamentales del pensamiento benjaminiano.

    Two hypotheses were set for this work: the role of the harp and Aeolian harp as literary motifs in the oeuvre of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, and their concrete meanings. These would be either inherited from the literary tradition or personal. The two aims of this work were the confirmation of both hypotheses and the identification of the different kinds of harps that Goethe knew throughout his life. The meaning of the harp as motif is almost always inherited from the literary tradition; it can also work as a metonymy of poetry. Goethe met some of the most famous harpists of his time; most of them played single-action harps. He was also familiar with the phenomenon of the wandering harpists, who used hook-harps. These personal experiences led to a personal meaning of this instrument in some of his literary works, such as the character of the harpist in Wilhelm Meisters Lehrjahre. The most original meaning of the harp can be found in two fantastic tales: Märchen and Der neue Paris, where this instrument works as attribute of fantastic creatures that show positive features. The Aeolian harp always works as a literary motif in Goethe’s oeuvre and has several meanings: the spiritual world in Faust, the musicality of Serbian folksongs in “Über serbische Lieder”, or the spiritual union and sensitiveness of the human soul in Äolsharfen. Therefore, the different meanings of the harp and Aeolian harp in Goethe’s work practically vary from work to work: some are inherited from the literary tradition and others are personal of the author. It is precisely in this diversity of meanings where the richness of these literary motifs is based. El papel de los instrumentos musicales en la obra de Johann Wolfgang von Goethe todavía no ha sido estudiando en profundidad por la Germanística. El presente Trabajo de Grado se ha centra en la presencia y función del arpa y arpa eólica en la obra literaria de este autor; Anna Teresa Macías García plantea la hipótesis de que actúan como motivos literarios y por ello presentan un significado concreto. Éste podría ser heredado de la tradición literaria anterior o bien personal, es decir, propio del autor: las experiencias de Goethe con estos instrumentos a lo largo de su vida habrían ejercido una influencia determinada en el significado personal de estos instrumentos en su obra literaria.

    A través de la mirada y la voz narrativa de una niña rumana, la escritora Herta Müller nos acerca con su ópera prima Niederungen (En tierras bajas) a las cicatrices aún hoy vivas de su propia infancia en un pequeño pueblo ubicado en la región de Timisoara en la época de la dictadura de Nicolae Ceaucescu. Este artículo pretende una aproximación crítica a la recurrente temática centrada en la denuncia del país dejado atrás por la escritora tras su experiencia de exilio a la entonces Alemania occidental en el año 1987. Un análisis crítico de esta primera obra publicada por Müller en lengua alemana nos acerca a la literatura intercultural de la escritora migrante rumano-alemana cuya calidad y trayectoria literaria la hizo merecedora en 2009 del Premio Nobel de Literatura. Through the look and narrative voice of a Romanian girl, the writer Herta Müller brings us closer with her first work – Niederungen (En tierras bajas) - to the still living scars of her own childhood in a small village in the region of Timisoara at the time of the dictatorship of Nicolae Ceausescu. This article attempts a critical approach to the recurring theme focused on the complaint of the country left behind by the author after her own experience of exile to West Germany in 1987. A critical analysis of this first work written by Müller in the German language brings us closer to her intercultural literature. The high quality of the literary production of this German-Romanian migrant writer was finally awarded in 2009 with the Nobel Prize for Literature.

    Un diccionario de aprendices es un diccionario especialmente diseñado para ayudar a aprendices en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de una lengua extranjera. A pesar de una larga tradición en investigación lexicográfica, los diccionarios de aprendices del alemán constituyen un desarrollo tardío de la lexicografía de esa lengua. El objetivo del presente trabajo es evaluar el estado del arte de la lexicografía pedagógica del alemán por medio de tres diccionarios de esa clase de obras lexicográficas. Como marco metodológico se emplean principios metalexicográficos tales como la distinción entre definición macroestructural cuantitativa y cualitativa, el análisis del programa informaciones microestructurales y la distinción entre funciones de decodificación y codificación. Así se establece que estos diccionarios son obras de referencia confiables para el aprendiz del alemán como lengua extranjera. A learner's dictionary is a dictionary specially designed to help learners of a foreign language. In spite of a long tradition in lexicographical research, dictionaries for students of German language show quite a lack of development in regard to its Lexicography. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the state of the art of German Pedagogical Lexicography by means of three learner's dictionaries. As a methodological framework we use metalexicographic principles, like the distinction between a quantitative and a qualitative macrostructural definition, the analysis of the microstructural information program and the distinction between decoding and encoding functions. As a result one may say that the three dictionaries are reliable language reference works for students of German as a Foreign Language.
