    O presente texto objetiva expor e divulgar ao mais amplo público leitor um panorama cronológico comentado dos estudos críticos publicados sobre a literatura produzida por imigrantes de língua alemã e seus descendentes no Brasil, mostrando que e por que se tratam de uma crítica parcial, o que evidencia a necessidade de atrair a atenção para este campo de pesquisa, partindo dos novos horizontes abertos pelos estudos culturais, pela imagologia, pelos estudos da memória, além da crítica poética. Parte-se das palavras encorajadoras de Boris Fausto em Fazer a América (1999) e de Wander de Melo Miranda em Nações literárias (2010), pois a literatura de língua alemã gerada no país pertence à cultura brasileira, é uma das nações literárias encastoadas no Brasil. This text aims to divulge a chronological and commented panorama of the critical studies published about the literature produced by German-speaking immigrants and their descendants in Brazil, arguing that this is a partial critique. This text also aims to emphasize the need to draw attention to this field of research. Nowadays, in addition to the poetic approach, other critical perspectives, such as cultural studies, imagology and memory studies, open new horizons. The encouraging words of Boris Fausto in Fazer a América (1999) must be taken into consideration as well as the support positions of Wander de Melo Miranda in Nações literárias (2010). According to Melo Miranda for example we could say that the literary production in German in Brazil belongs to the Brazilian culture and is a literary nation within this country

    Através da ideia de quimera, esse ensaio tentará compreender a constituição aberta do personagem Odradek, da narrativa curta "A preocupação do pai de família" de Franz Kafka. O interestante nessa construção literária seria o deslocamento (inclusive das possibilidades de expressão de gênero nas línguas) que Odradek impõe ao esforço constante do narrador (representante de grupos sociais específicos) em categorizá-lo e, por consequência, do leitor, que tentaria encerrá-lo num tipo fechado de interpretação. Odradek parece um tipo de ser incapturável pelas principais categorias, sejam elas literárias, biológicas ou sociais, que ajudaram a fundar a ideia de Modernidade. Through the use of the idea of chimera, this essay will attempt to understand the open constitution of the character Odradek, from the short story "The cares of a family man" by Franz Kafka. What is interesting in this short story is the displacement (which includes the possibilities of gender expression in languages) Odradek imposes on the narrator's constant effort (representing specific social groups) to categorize him/it and consequently the reader's effort to enclose him/it in a closed interpretation. Odradek seems to be impossible to apprehend using main literary, biological or social categories which helped found of the idea of Modernity

    O presente artigo advoga a necessidade de um trabalho voltado para o desenvolvimento de estratégias de autonomia que possam contribuir para a conscientização de estudantes de Alemão como Língua Estrangeira (ALE), em contexto universitário, sobre sua importância no processo de aprendizagem. Para tal, foi desenvolvida uma pesquisa junto a estudantes de graduação em Letras, Português-Alemão, de uma Universidade no Rio de Janeiro, com vistas a se verificar a influência do uso de recursos metodológicos como consultoria individual e diário de aprendizagem sobre sua percepção acerca de aspectos relacionados a aprendizado autônomo e centralidade do aprendiz no processo de aprendizagem/aquisição de ALE. Assim, nesse trabalho, serão discutidos não somente os resultados dessa pesquisa, mas também serão apresentados os principais pressupostos teóricos que balizaram a análise dos dados. This article advocates the need for a work dedicated to the development of autonomy strategies that can contribute to the awareness of students of German as a Foreign Language on its importance in the learning process at the university context. To this purpose, a survey was developed under graduate students of German at a university in Rio de Janeiro, in order to investigate the influence of the use of methodological resources such as the individual advising and the learning diary over their perception of aspects related to autonomous learning and the central role of learners in the learning/ acquisition process of German as Foreign Language. Thus, this work will discuss not only the results of this research, but will also present the main theoretical assumptions that guided the data analysis. Der vorliegende Beitrag unterstreicht die Notwendigkeit einer Arbeit, die sich mit der Entwicklung von Strategien zur Förderung der Autonomie von DaF-Lernenden beschäftigt. Der Beitrag präsentiert eine Studie, deren Ziel es war, die Wirkung individueller Beratung und Lerntagebücher auf die Wahrnehmung von DaF-Studierenden aus einer Universität in Rio de Janeiro bezüglich folgender Themen zu untersuchen: (i) autonomes Lernen und (ii) Eigenverantwortung beim DaF-Lernen. Hierbei werden zunächst die wichtigsten Konzepte aus der Theorie zur Lernautonomie und darauffolgend die ersten Ergebnisse der Datenanalyse präsentiert und diskutiert

    The present study aims to investigate how foreign language learners at the German for Academic Purposes (GAP) program at a Brazilian federal university interact in their mother tongue about their motivations to learn a foreign language as well as their motivations to participate in study abroad programs. Data were collected using focus group methodology with three focus groups of six students each (A1, A2 and B1 levels). We chose to analyze the A1 group. We conducted metaphor-led discourse analysis of the data in order to examine metaphors and metonymies, which emerged in the focus group interactions. We were able to identify the presence of systematic metaphors such as learning is hard work and learning is jumping hurdles, intertwined with conceptual metaphors such as education is a journey and difficulties are weights, which point at the motivation for learning verbalized by Brazilian foreign language learners who took part in the study. Este estudo tem como objetivo investigar como aprendizes de língua estrangeira no programa de Alemão para Fins Acadêmicos (AFA) em uma universidade federal brasileira interagem em sua língua materna sobre suas motivações para aprender uma língua estrangeira, bem como sua motivação para participar de programas de intercâmbio. Os dados foram coletados usando a metodologia de grupo focal com três grupos de seis estudantes cada (níveis A1, A2 e B1). Analisamos o grupo de A1. Conduzimos uma análise do discurso à luz da metáfora nos dados para examinar as metáforas e metonímias que surgiram nas interações dos grupos focais. Pudemos identificar a presença de metáforas sistemáticas como aprendizagem é trabalho duro e aprendizagem é pular barreiras, imbricadas com metáforas conceptuais como educação é uma viagem e dificuldades são peso, que apontam para a motivação de aprendizagem verbalizada pelos participantes desse estudo.

    Die Zeitschrift Pandaemonium Germanicum erscheint zweimal jährlich und versteht sich als Forum für die wissenschaftliche Diskussion in den verschiedenen Bereichen der internationalen Germanistik, nämlich der Literatur- und Übersetzungswissenschaft, Linguistik, DaF und Kulturstudien. Die Zeitschrift wird von der deutschen Abteilung der FFLCH-USP (Universität São Paulo) seit 1997 herausgegeben und will zur Verbreitung unveröffentlichter Forschungen von GermanistInnen aus Brasilien und anderen Ländern, sowie zur Förderung des Dialogs zwischen der Germanistik und anderen Wissensbereichen beitragen.
