    This talk analyses the poems and narrative text of Eduard Mörike, who wrote in the period of Romanticism and Realism, emphasizing the considerable sensitivity necessary to describe realistic details, which can be seen in his highly artistic writings. Mörike is nor an epigone writer, but has a very individual style to represent the experience of perceiving and losing sensual objects. The article also demonstrates the potential of hermeneutic procedures following the spirit of Adorno, rejecting the tendencies to transform literary criticism into a cultural science as is done by Kittler. O artigo analisa poemas e narrativas de Eduard Mörike, um contemporâneo do romantismo e realismo, dando ênfase na extrema sensibilidade para detailhes realisticos, resgatados e equilibrados na escritura altamente artística. Longe de ser um epígono, Mörike atinge um raro nível de reflexão literária particularmente na repcesentação da experiência de perceber e perder objetos sensuais. O artigo pretende ao mesmo tempo demostrar os potenciais de procedimentos hermenênuticos no espírito de Th. W Adorno, rejeitando tendências de transformara critica literária, numa ciência da cultura, representada por F. Kittler.

    In the concentration on his text, the author Franz Kafka is often reduced to the phantom of a deadly sick and Oedipus-struck inventor of abstract labyrinths in an absurd bureaucratic universe. This talk intends to reintegrate him into the landscape of various conterts of modernicy at the beginriing of the 20Ih century such as: the movement of life-reform, intellectual debates, academic research in the field of industrial accidents, changing erotic relations and the enthusiasm for new technical products. As a result, the author claims that Kafka could well be imagined as a member of the pre-war-society described by Thomas Mann in the "Magic Mountain". Com a interpretaçã dos seus textos o autor Franz Kafka muitas vezes é reduzido ao fantasma do criador de labirintos abstratos e absurdos universos burocráticos, mortalmente enfermo e golpeado por uma estrutura edipal sem solugão. A palestra empreende a reincegração do escritor no panorama de vários contextos da modernidade no inicio do século XX, tais como: o movimento da reforma da vida, debates intelectuais, pesquisa acadêmica no campo de acidentes de trabalho, várias relações amorosas e o entusiasmo para novas invenções técnicas. Como resultado, o autor sustenta que se poderia imaginar Kafka perfeitamente na sociedade européia anterior à I Guerra, descrica por Thomas Mann no romance "A montanha mágica".

    Although the first travels to America were largely motivated by material interests, the news about native peoples published in Europe by the travellers little by little influenced a conception of the world, which was still dominated by medieval traditions. In general, the experience of the alien was still described in the forms of the own, but gradually the empirical knowledge began to structure a new discourse. The author analyses the earliest books on voyages to Brazil in the middle of the l6th century by Hans Staden, Jean de Léry and André Thevet. He observes how they develop discursive orders of their own, trying to deal with strange phenomena. They mark a first step for Western thought in the process of creating a space for the alien, who really exists – in this case on the coast of Brazil. Embora as primeiras viagens para a América fossem motivadas sobretudo por interesses materiais, as noticias sobre os povos indígenas, publicadas na Europa pelos viajantes, pouco a pouco influenciaram a concepção de mundo, dominado até então por tradições medievais. Em geral, a esperiência do outro se descrevia ainda em formas do conhecido, mas paulatinamente o conhecimento empírico começou a estruturar um novo discurso. O autor analisa os primeiros livros sobre viagens para o Brasil em meados do século XVl, Hans Staden, Jean de Léry e André Thevet. Ele constara que os viajantes desenvolvem estruturas discursivas próprias, pam lidar com os fenômenos estranhos. Os relatos marcam no pensamento ocidental um primeiro passo no processo da criação de um espaço para o outro, que existe na realidade – neste caso no litoral brasileiro.

    This article makes a comparative study of the views on "love" of Brasilian and German students. It turned out that the love affairs between German students were, strongly determined by the romantic ideal of love, whereas Brasilian students have a more passionate ideal of love. Das Phänomen Liebe nicht – wie im Alltagsgebrauch – als substantielle Entität, sondern als kommunikativ erzeugte Lebenswirklichkeit zu begreifen, ist Ziel der Untersuchung gewesen. Zu diesem Zweck wurde eine vergleichende Fallstudie zum Liebeskonzept brasilianischer und deutscher Studenten durchgeführt. Theoretische Grundlage der Untersuchung bildete ein im weitesten Sinne konstruktivistisches Verständnis von Kommunikation als wirklichkeitserzeugendem Verhaltensbereich. In einer theoretischen Einführung wurde der Wirklichkeitsbereich Liebe unter Einbeziehung des jeweiligen historisch-kulturellen Hintergrundes fokussiert. Die methodische Vorgehensweise bei der Durchführung der Studie war schließlich überwiegend qualitativ angelegt, um das Für den Einzelnen tatsächlich relevante Begriffsinventar ermitteln zu können. In der Auswertung sind dann die Unterschiede im Hinblick auf die Internationalisierung eines Liebesideals, die Strukturen der Beziehungswirklichkeit, ihre sprachliche Handhabung, die Verhaltenskoordination, die Funktion von Beziehungen sowie die Folgen für die Kommunikationspraxis herausgestellt worden. Es zeigte sich, dass Liebesbeziehungen unter deutschen Studenten stark vom romantischen Liebesideal geprägt sind, unter brasilianischen Studenten dagegen am ehesten dem passionierten Liebesideal entsprechen.

    Foreign immigration has become a very controversial subject in German speaking countries. This essay stresses the need to consider the problem in German language teaching in Brasil and to make the pupils aware of the situation. Proceeding on the theoretical context of the discourse analysis (Pêcheux, 1969; Orlandi, 1990 und 1999), the author discusses four newspaper articles, published between 1999 and 2001, on different aspects of Turkish immigration to Austria and discusses about the Interlocutionary Position (lugar de interlocução, Pecheux, 1969) of Turks in Austria. Die Immigration von Ausländern ist in deutschsprachigen Ländern ein zunehmend umstrittenes Thema. Dieser Aufsatz zeigt die Notwendigkeit, diese Situation zu thematisieren, wenn in Brasilien Deutsch als Fremdsprache unterrichtet wird, um die Schüler für die Problematik zu sensibilisieren. Ausgehend vom theoretischen Kontext der Diskursanalyse (Pêcheux, 1969; Orlandi, 1990 und 1999) analysiert die Autorin vier Zeitungsartikel der Jahre 1999 bis 2001, die sich mit verschiedenen Aspekten der türkischen Immigration in Österreich beschäftigen, und regt eine Diskussion über den Interlokutionsort (lugar de interlocução, Pêcheux, 1969) der Türken in Österreich an.
