    Frühmoderne gedruckte Erzähltexte sind multimodal. ORDNEL bietet eine möglichst vollständige Druckübersicht mit detaillierten Informationen zur Multimodalität gedruckter deutscher und niederländischer Erzählliteratur bis 1800 (Griseldis; Reineke Fuchs; Fortunatus), die zu den Top Ten Erzähltexten im frühmodernen Europa gehören. Insgesamt sind 319 Drucke in 1069 Exemplaren erfasst. Jeder Eintrag bietet folgende Angaben: Autor:in/Übersetzer:in, Titel, Druckort, Drucker:in(verleger:in), Verleger:in, Entstehungsjahr, Quelle der Information, Kollation, Umfang des Drucks in Seiten, Format, Titelblattholzschnitt, Holzschnitte, Anzahl der Wiederholungen der Holzschnitte, Künstler:in. Im Hinblick auf die Überlieferung werden Angaben zur Zahl der Exemplare, zu den Exemplaren in den Bibliotheken und Archiven und zu den Digitalisaten der Drucke gemacht. Ebenso sind Angaben zur Sekundärliteratur, Bemerkungen zu inhaltlichen, formalen und paratextuellen Aspekten sowie zur Sprache erfasst (Stand: Februar 2024). ... : Early modern printed fictional literature is multimodal. The repertory ORDNEL attempts to offer a complete survey with detailed information about the multimodality of printed German and Dutch fictional literature until 1800 ("Griseldis"; "Reynaert/Reynke/Reineke"; "Fortunatus"), belonging to the top ten fictional narratives in early modern Europe, all in all, listing 319 editions in 1069 copies.     This manuscript represents a comprehensive analysis of non-finite causal constructions in English, German, Dutch, and Czech. Based on a corpus of social media posts, the study provides an analysis of the formal and functional aspects of these constructions, their development, and their cross-linguistic similarities and differences. The study follows the principles of (Diasystematic) Construction Grammar. Formally, these constructions differ from both causal clauses and causal prepositional constructions. In contrast to the former, the complement of non-finite causal constructions must be non-finite. In contrast to the latter, however, the complement slot can be filled by a wider range of elements than just noun phrases. Elliptical clauses, non-elliptical noun phrases, or non-elliptical non-noun phrases can fill the complement slot of non-finite causal constructions. Functionally, non-finite causal constructions express a causal link between a matrix clause, which they follow, and the element in their complement slot. In this regard, these constructions overlap with both causal clauses and prepositional constructions. However, non-finite causal constructions can also serve to express a comment about the causal link. The development of non-finite causal constructions cross-linguistically follows a uniform spiral pathway. Elliptical non-finite causal constructions develop in the first step out of non-elliptical causal clauses. Elliptical non-finite causal constructions subsequently give rise to their non-elliptical variants.     In this study, we compared three different models of reading comprehension on a large dataset of more than 6,500 students. We compared two models representing four comprehension processes as well as the influence of text difficulty to a one-factor model by applying multi-dimensional item response models to the newly developed Bavarian reading test (BYLET). Cross-validation indicated the best generalizability for the one-factor model, but factor loadings and global model fit showed some evidence for the influence of text difficulty measured by word and sentence length and the process structure. All psychometric models tested had a good fit, as indicated by global fit indices and loading patterns. The general factor scores point to reliability and validity. We conclude that theories of reading comprehension processes also apply to some extent to the measurement of reading comprehension as a trainable skill and that the general factor score of the BYLET is suitable for a reading comprehension screening between grades two and six. The study is preregistered. The analysis code is available at osf.io/xw9bv/. Test materials can be sent to interested researchers on request.
