Hinweise zu einer Verbindung von Avantgarde und Terrorismus gibt es bereits viele, fundierte Analysen dazu aber bislang noch nicht. Die Studie geht darum anhand von reichem Material der möglichen Nähe von historischer Avantgarde (Futurismus, Dadaismus, Surrealismus) und terroristischen Kadern (RAF, Weatherman, Tupamaros) nach. Als Bindeglieder fungieren Gruppen wie die Subversive Aktion, die Kommune I und die linken Aktionisten um 1968 (Rudi Dutschke, Provos, Che Guevara-Anhänger). Dabei entsteht das differenzierte Bild von »Spezialisten der Revolte«, deren Verlangen nach einer Aufhebung der Grenzen zwischen Kunst und Leben die Rhetorik des gewaltsamen Bruchs mit allem Bestehenden hervortreibt

Suite à l’attentat du 7 janvier 2015 contre le magazine satirique français Charlie Hebdo ont commencé des débats dans les médias français et allemands sur la liberté de la presse et la censure. L’attentat a été revendiqué par deux islamistes autoproclamés. Les débats tournaient autour des questions de solidarité et d’appartenance au niveau national et européen. Fondé sur l'analyse du discours linguistique, ce travail examine un corpus de textes des cinq journaux français et allemands à plus haut tirage et analyse de manière contrastée les deux notions de liberté de la presse et censure dans les débats publics 2015-2017 en France et en Allemagne. L’analyse part du principe que la notion de la liberté de la presse s’inscrit dans un contexte historique qui forme la base des sociétés européennes et occidentales. Surtout depuis les Lumières, ces débats relèvent des dimen- sions de continuité et de césures historiques: au cours de l'établissement d'un canon de valeurs éclairées, la liberté de la presse est devenue une revendication centrale des progressistes et la censure une caractéristique de l'oppression. Ce contraste a survécu jusqu’à aujourd’hui sous une forme plus différenciée. Il s’agit dans ce travail de faire ressortir cette dimension en reliant les débats actuels à leur sémantique historique. Les résultats montrent que les cartes cognitives ont été construites sur la base de cette opposition et traduites en conséquences politiques. Les termes de liberté de la presse et de censure devenant ainsi un critère d'appar- tenance européenne et les événements de janvier 2015 ont été des vecteurs pour la construction d’identité et d’altérité. ; Following the attacks on the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo on January 7th 2015 by two self-pro- claimed Islamist assassins, debates about freedom of press and censorship emerged in the French and German media. Linked to these debates were discussions on solidarity and social affiliation to a national and European level. Using linguistic discourse analysis, this work examines a corpus of texts from each of the five highest-circu- lation print media in France and Germany and contrastively explores the two terms in public debates from 2015 to 2017. The study begins with the premise that freedom of press is a foundation of Western European societies that stands in a long historical context. In Germany and France, the debates on freedom of press and censorship show dimensions of historical continuities and caesurae, especially since the Enlightenment pe- riod: in the course of the establishment of an enlightened canon of values, freedom of press became a central demand of progressive agents and censorship a characteristic of varied forms of oppression. This is an oppo- sition which - in a more differentiated form - has survived until today. The analysis reveals this dimension by integrating the debates into their historical semantics. The results show that in the debates, cognitive maps were constructed on the basis of this opposition and translated into political action. The terms freedom of press and censorship thus became a benchmark of European affiliation, the events in January 2015 served as a vehicle through which were constructed in- and outgroups.
