In the colonial period not only physiognomic features such as the so-called "skin color" were used to legitimize the subjugation of humans. Linguistic differences were also used to justify the superiority and sublimity of human beings. Linguistic criticism is a specific discipline of racism criticism, the aim of which is to uncover the extent to which people are categorized and prevented from participating in social resources in the colonial tradition by referring to differences between languages, dialects, sociolects, accents and other linguistic features. Also well-intentioned ways of dealing with languages can create exclusion in a post-colonial education setting, since (language-) educational concepts are involved in colonial thinking traditions. The lecture deals with current events with the question of what lingucism is, what linguicism has to do with the standard national language, how linguistic exclusion takes place, and how linguicism criticism could be part of teaching in language classes. ; Die Zeit des Kolonialismus ist schon lange vorbei, aber der Kolonialismus prägt das Denken und Handeln der Menschen heute noch auf vielfältige Weise. Möglich ist, dass auch Lehrer_innen und Kursleiter_innen sich ungewollt von linguizistischen Gedankengut verleiten lassen. Um möglichen habituellen Abwertungen von "Akzenten" beizukommen, wäre es m.E. wichtig, eine selbstreflexive Haltung einzunehmen und das eigene Sprechen zu überprüfen. Auch den Teilnehmenden bzw. Schüler_innen eines Deutschlernsettings gegenüber wäre es wichtig, die Gleichwertigkeit von "Akzenten" zu verdeutlichen.
