    Synopsis: The ultimate guide to visual storytelling! How to make the audience "feel" the story while they are "reading" the story. Using his experiences from working in the comic book industry, movie studios and teaching, Marcos introduces the reader to a step-by-step system that will create the most successful storyboards and graphics for the best visual communication. After a brief discussion on narrative art, Marcos introduces us to drawing and composing a single image, to composing steady shots to drawing to compose for continuity between all the shots. These lessons are then applied to three diverse story lines - a train accident, a cowboy tale and bikers approaching a mysterious house. In addition to setting up the shots, he also explains and illustrates visual character development, emotive stances and expressions along with development of the environmental setting to fully develop the visual narrative

    In October 2009, a major artwork by Leonardo da Vinci was uncovered. The 500 year-old portrait is one of the most extraordinary discoveries of our time. This is the story of how a team of experts - led by Professor Martin Kemp -pieced together the evidence, detailed historical research and technical analysis to follow a trail that leads back to the 15th Century. There is an element of mystery and an aura of mystical glamour that surrounds Leonardo. So when news of the discovery broke, it was met with astonishment, even disbelief. Here was a new work of art by a genius who left us astonishingly few - no more than a handful. Martin Kemp takes us on a journey of discovery recounting the steps he and Pascal Cotte took in authenticating the painting including the use of forensic methods usually reserved for criminal investigation. He recounts how experts matched a fingerprint found on La Bella Principessa to the great Renaissance master. This discovery throws new light on Leonardo da Vinci and his world. We learn the story of the girl who inspired the painting. The sitter, a beautiful young girl, displays a sense of melancholy and strength, a tender and fragile beauty. But who is she? By far the most likely candidate is the illegitimate daughter of Duke Ludovico Sforza. Martin Kemp tells, too, the tragic story of this princess who was to die when she was just fourteen years old. Previously changing hands for just GBP12,000, the painting is now thought to be worth something in the region of GBP150 million. As 'La Bella Principessa' (The Beautiful Princess) finally goes on display to the world, the people responsible for proving it is one of Leonardo da Vinci's tell the story of its discovery.     This comprehensive catalogue of the Netherlandish, Flemish, Dutch and Belgian drawings from the sixteenth to the twentieth century in The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, Moscow, is a translated and revised edition from the original Russian edition published in 2001. Now also with contribtions by Charles Dumas, Thera Folmer-von Oven and Bernard Vermet. The English edition describes 633 drawings. Besides these detailed descriptions there are 672 illustrations; 541 colour illustrations of the Dutch and Flemish collection by artists such as Hendrick Avercamp, Cornelis van Haarlen, Allart van Everdingen, Rembrandt and many others. Amongst the 91 artists from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries are Vincent van Gogh, Frans Masereel and Constant Permeke. Appendix I lists the drawings that were formely attributed to Dutch or Flemish artists, with illustrations. Appendix II contains 29 Dutch drawings no longer in this collection. With the use of high quality paper this book will be a long lasting comprehensive survey of this unique collection
