    Con il rapido sviluppo dei dati elettronici e della trasmissione degli stessi, anche per la lessicografia storica si sono registrati negli ultimi anni notevoli cambiamenti, che corrispondono a un rivoluzionamento epocale. Questo volume contiene le relazioni che si sono tenute nell'aprile 2002 durante il colloquio in occasione del settantesimo compleanno di Max Pfister. I singoli contributi trattano dell'elaborazione e dell'utilizzazione delle banche dati in Internet e su CD-ROM, dei problemi ecdotici che si presentano nella trasformazione delle basi testuali in forma elettronica e dell'importanza dei nuovi media per vari progetti attuali incentrati sulla lessicografia storica dell'italiano. In the last few years, the headlong development of electronic data carriers and electronic data transmission has occasioned changes in historical lexicography that mark the onset of a new epoch. The volume contains articles by authors specializing in Italian Studies, French Studies, and German Studies on the establishment and use of databases on the internet and on CD-ROM, editorial principles and problems in the preparation of textual base material, and case studies on the significance of the new media for ongoing projects in the historical lexicography of Italian.

    The book presents a text-based study of discourse practices in placement, a hybrid zone which re-contextualises academic knowledge and professional practices. Using Lave and Wenger’s Communities of Practice as the overarching theoretical framework, the study investigates how novices learn to write like their professional counterparts. By collecting texts completed in various placement contexts and in-depth qualitative interviews with informants, the study features a multi-dimensional approach to the analysis of discourse practices in terms of text construction and text consumption. The issues of genre, feedback, identity and role associated with placement learning are brought into focus.

    Digital Diversity: Cultures, Languages and Method's is the motto for this year’s Digital Humanities conference; it relates methodical and technical innovation to the traditional research agenda of the Humanities. The conference schedule includes contributions on a wide range of topics, reflecting the increasing breadth in the field on all levels.     Con il rapido sviluppo dei dati elettronici e della trasmissione degli stessi, anche per la lessicografia storica si sono registrati negli ultimi anni notevoli cambiamenti, che corrispondono a un rivoluzionamento epocale. Questo volume contiene le relazioni che si sono tenute nell'aprile 2002 durante il colloquio in occasione del settantesimo compleanno di Max Pfister. I singoli contributi trattano dell'elaborazione e dell'utilizzazione delle banche dati in Internet e su CD-ROM, dei problemi ecdotici che si presentano nella trasformazione delle basi testuali in forma elettronica e dell'importanza dei nuovi media per vari progetti attuali incentrati sulla lessicografia storica dell'italiano. In the last few years, the headlong development of electronic data carriers and electronic data transmission has occasioned changes in historical lexicography that mark the onset of a new epoch. The volume contains articles by authors specializing in Italian Studies, French Studies, and German Studies on the establishment and use of databases on the internet and on CD-ROM, editorial principles and problems in the preparation of textual base material, and case studies on the significance of the new media for ongoing projects in the historical lexicography of Italian.
