    Georg III. von Anhalt (1507-1553) ist für die Geschichte der Reformation in Mitteldeutschland von herausragender Bedeutung: Gleichzeitig regierender Fürst und hochrangiger Kleriker führte er 1534 in Anhalt-Dessau die Reformation ein, hatte Einfluss auf die Einführung der Reformation in Brandenburg ab 1539 und wirkte ab 1544 als evangelischer Bischof in Merseburg. Er verkörperte einen eigenständigen Typus mitteldeutscher Reformation, der besonders stark an der kirchlichen Tradition orientiert war und sich vorschnellen konfessionellen Festlegungen entzog. Nicht zuletzt deshalb wurde Georg nach seinem Tod zur Galionsfigur der Anhaltischen Kirche im konfessionellen Zeitalter. Mit diesem Band werden erstmals zentrale theologische Schriften Georgs kritisch ediert vorgelegt. [George III. of Anhalt: Eucharistic Works] George III. of Anhalt (1507-1553) is an important figure for the Reformation in Central Germany: Being both a ruling prince and a clergyman, he inaugurated the Reformation in Anhalt-Dessau in 1534, played an important role within the Reformation in Brandenburg and served as Protestant Bishop of Merseburg from 1544 on. George represents an original approach to ecclesiastical reforms, which very much looks back on the tradition of the church. Both George and his theology cannot be described along the usual confessional lines - which may be one reason why George became even more important to the church in Anhalt after his death.     Die Studie ist die erste Monographie zum Thema Alchimie und Literatur in der frühen Neuzeit. Im Licht der hermetischen Tradition plädiert die Studie für ein wörtliches Verständnis der - bisher allegorisch aufgefaßten - sinnlichen Bilder mystisch-pietistischer Hohelied-Poesie. Die für ein solches Verständnis fehlenden theologischen wie anthropologischen Bezugskontexte werden grundlegend rekonstruiert. In exemplarischen Analysen werden Gedichte von Greiffenberg, Pordage, Leade, Arnold, Zinzendorf und Novalis erstmals durchgängig im Kontext der Alchimie interpretiert This study is the first monograph on the subject of alchemy and literature in the early modern age. In the light of the hermeticist tradition, the study urges a literal (as opposed to the traditionally allegorical) understanding of the sensual images encountered in the mystic-pietist tradition of poetry in the Song of Songs tradition. Theological and anthropological reference contexts justifying such an understanding are carefully reconstructed. Selected poems by Greiffenberg, Pordage, Leade, Arnold, Zinzendorf, and Novalis are interpreted for the first time exclusively against the backdrop of the hermeticist 'alchemy' concept

    This paper examines the celebration of The Last Supper in three Lutheran worship services based on the methodology of multimodal interaction analysis. The corresponding videos were recorded in Sarepta (Russia), Rimbach and Zotzenbach (both Germany). After the review of relevant research, the analytical interest in the Last Supper as a collective positional task has been explained. Three-case analyses reconstruct the architecture-forinteraction requirements for the collective movement of the community towards the altar. This movement, the positioning of the community to receive The Last Supper (wine and bread) and the return to the church benches are spatially related subtasks that need to be dealt with in the situation. The community’s movement is organised in obviously different ways in the three worship services. The reconstruction of these differences allows the formulation of three divergent models primarily regarding the following two aspects: on the one hand, the extent and form of socialisation (as a symbolic re-enactment of The Last Supper of Jesus Christ and his disciples on Maundy Thursday) and, on the other hand, the way in which the participants consume wine and bread. A model of socialisation with collective care (Sarepta), a model of partial socialisation with partial collective care (Zotzenbach) and an individualisation model with individual care (Rimbach) could be identified. In addition to the opportunities that the architecture provides for the performance of The Last Supper, the number of participants in particular was a key factor influencing the structure. Once a certain number is reached, there is an economic constraint which has a negative effect on the quality of socialisation. The idea of conceptualising the Last Supper as a coordination and positioning task originates from Reinhold Schmitt. He has also developed the multimodal interaction-analytical methodology, which provides the basis for this research.
