    This essay is essentially a list of phenomena taken from the two large dialect areas of what is called Upper German (for German Oberdeutsch, South German (SG henceforth), comprising Austrian and Bavarian dialects as well as High Alemannic). The author himself speaks natively (base and high school) Viennese Austrian and the dialect of the Montafon, Vorarlberg, as samples of these two dialect areas. Although the critical assumptions of micro-linguistics (cf.     Die vorliegenden Beiträge, in denen sprachliche Strukturen im Kontext ihrer interaktiven Funktionen und Gebrauchsweisen studiert werden, widmen sich grammatischen Konstruktionen der Selbst- und Fremdpositionierung. Anhand empirischer Analysen von Positionierungs-Konstruktionen zeigen die Beiträge, dass Formen und Funktionen grammatischer Strukturen in Alltagsinteraktionen eng mit den Produktions- und Rezeptionsbedingungen gesprochener Sprache verwoben sind. Methodologisch hat dies zur Konsequenz, dass sprachliche Phänomene - verstanden als Konstruktionen unterschiedlicher Komplexität - nicht dekontextualisiert, sondern im jeweiligen konkreten Interaktionszusammenhang betrachtet werden; die Medialität und Handlungsbezogenheit sprachlicher Phänomene wird in den vorliegenden Analysen daher ebenso berücksichtigt wie die Dialogizität, die Sequenzialität und die Zeitlichkeit der Entfaltung sprachlicher Konstruktionen.Um dem Spannungsverhältnis zwischen der Verfestigung grammatischer Konstruktionen und ihrer prozessualen Aktualisierung in der Interaktion Rechnung zu tragen, verknüpfen die Beiträge Methoden der Interaktionalen Linguistik mit Erkenntnissen gebrauchsorientierter („usage-based") Positionen der Construction Grammar sowie der Cognitive Grammar Einleitung zum Sammelband / Susanne Günthner und Jörg Bücker -- Verstehensdefizit als Antwortverpflichtung: Interaktionale Eigenschaften der Modalpartikel denn in Fragen / Arnulf Deppermann -- Konstruktion oder Funktion?     This monograph provides a micro-analytic description of the structure and communicative use of syntactic pivot constructions in German. Using the methodology of Conversation Analysis, this work shows that pivots emerge in interaction in response to local communicative needs. Exclusively found in spoken German, pivots allow a speaker to extend an utterance beyond a possible completion point in a syntactically and prosodically unobtrusive way.     This study offers a Construction Grammar approach to the historical development and modern usage of future constructions in English, German, Dutch, Danish, and Swedish.
