    Main description: Der Autor arbeitet nicht nur die Forschungen zum Komplex der Wirtschaftsfachsprachen auf, sondern versucht auch eine theoretische Fundierung des Gegenstands im Rahmen eines umfassenden Sprachmodells. Der Schwerpunkt liegt auf der historischen Ausdifferenzierung der Fachsprache der Wirtschaftswissenschaften. Dabei wird der Begriff 'Geld' in Theorietexten des 16. bis 20. Jahrhunderts sowohl auf seine Entwicklung als auch auf die zu seiner Versprachlichung konstitutive Metaphorik hin untersucht. Es zeigte sich, daß der Geldbegriff in Theorietexten einem starken Wandel unterlag. Demgegenüber ist keine grundlegende Veränderung in der Metaphorik, mit der über Geld gesprochen und mit deren Hilfe der Begriff 'Geld' als abstraktes Theoriekonzept konstituiert wird, zu verzeichnen
