    A compreensão histórica de literatura no primeiro romantismo alemão decorre, entre outros aspectos, dos escritos de Winckelmann, Herder, Lessing, assim como da relação dialética entre o clássico e o romântico estabelecida por Goethe e Schiller. Nesse contexto, a aproximação antitética entre o antigo e o romântico tem um papel central na determinação das principais teorias românticas de literatura. O artigo investiga e discute a importância da antinomia entre o antigo e o moderno na constituição e desenvolvimento das teorias literárias de Friedrich Schlegel no primeiro romantismo alemão The historical understanding of literature in German Early Romanticism arises, among other things, from the writings of Winckelmann, Herder, Lessing as well as of the dialectical interplay between classic and romantic established by Goethe and Schiller. In this context, the antithetic approximation of ancient and modern plays a central role in the determination of the major romantic theories of literature. This paper investigates and discusses the importance of the antinomy of ancient and modern in the constitution and development of literary theories of Friedrich Schlegel in German Early Romanticism.

    In this article I analyze the synchronic presence, within the German academic production of the last decades, of works which can be together understood as part of an uncoordinated effort of epistemologic renewal and historization of the artistic episteme. From the contributions of different authors I synthesize the constitutive lines of those two issues, which were distinct, although convergent in their consequences for the comprehension of art and critique. First, I show how the epistemologic renewal was intermeshed with new patterns of perception of time and with the scientific concept of emergence; then, I discuss how the historization of the artistic episteme was strongly devoted to the institutional critique. ... O artigo analisa a presença sincrônica, na produção acadêmica alemã das últimas décadas, de trabalhos que, em conjunto, podem ser compreendidos como parte de um esforço nãocoordenado de renovação epistemológica e de historicização da episteme artística. Das contribuições de autores diversos são sintetizadas as linhas de constituição daquelas duas grandes problemáticas, que foram distintas, porém convergentes, em seus desdobramentos para a compreensão da arte e da crítica de arte. De um lado, mostra-se a imbricação da renovação epistemológica com novos padrões de percepção do tempo e com o conceito científico de "emergência"; de outro, vê-se como a historicização da episteme artística esteve fortemente dedicada à crítica institucional. ...

    The present article seeks to analyze the influence that contemporary methods of literary writing and modes of thought used on the American continent have had on other literary niches, having as a specific example, Germany. For that, the focus will fall on the German historical novel "Rede des toten Kolumbus am Tag des jüngsten Gerichts" (1992), from the author Hans Christoph Buch. In the novel, it is observed how the rhetorical and aesthetical processes of narrative come close to what was considered as "new metafictional historical novel", according to studies by Aínsa (1988-1991), Menton (1993) and Fleck (2007). ... O presente artigo procura analisar a influência que a escrita literária peculiar e os modos de pensamento contemporâneo em voga no continente americano alcançaram em outros nichos literários tendo, como exemplo específico a Alemanha. Para isso, o foco recairá sobre o romance histórico alemão "Rede des toten Kolumbus am Tag des jüngsten Gerichts" (1992), do autor Hans Christoph Buch. Nele, observa-se como os processos retóricos e estéticos da narrativa se assemelham àquilo que foi considerado como "novo romance histórico latinoamericano", segundo estudos de Aínsa (1988-1991), Menton (1993), Fleck (2007) de outros. ...

    In this article I analyze the synchronic presence, within the German academic production of the last decades, of works which can be together understood as part of an uncoordinated effort of epistemologic renewal and historization of the artistic episteme. From the contributions of different authors I synthesize the constitutive lines of those two issues, which were distinct, although convergent in their consequences for the comprehension of art and critique. First, I show how the epistemologic renewal was intermeshed with new patterns of perception of time and with the scientific concept of emergence; then, I discuss how the historization of the artistic episteme was strongly devoted to the institutional critique. Throughout the article, I highlight the critical component of those two forms of historization, both of which were motivated by a sense of dissatisfaction with the current condition – in the 1970s and 80s – of the aesthetic thought. ; O artigo analisa a presença sincrônica, na produção acadêmica alemã das últimas décadas, de trabalhos que, em conjunto, podem ser compreendidos como parte de um esforço nãocoordenado de renovação epistemológica e de historicização da episteme artística. Das contribuições de autores diversos são sintetizadas as linhas de constituição daquelas duas grandes problemáticas, que foram distintas, porém convergentes, em seus desdobramentos para a compreensão da arte e da crítica de arte. De um lado, mostra-se a imbricação da renovação epistemológica com novos padrões de percepção do tempo e com o conceito científico de "emergência"; de outro, vê-se como a historicização da episteme artística esteve fortemente dedicada à crítica institucional. Ao longo da apresentação, dá-se destaque ao componente critic daquelas duas formas de historicização, motivadas, como elas foram, pela insatisfação com a condição atual – nas décadas de 1970 e 1980 – da arte e do pensamento.

    The present article seeks to analyze the influence that contemporary methods of literary writing and modes of thought used on the American continent have had on other literary niches, having as a specific example, Germany. For that, the focus will fall on the German historical novel "Rede des toten Kolumbus am Tag des jüngsten Gerichts" (1992), from the author Hans Christoph Buch. In the novel, it is observed how the rhetorical and aesthetical processes of narrative come close to what was considered as "new metafictional historical novel", according to studies by Aínsa (1988-1991), Menton (1993) and Fleck (2007). This model of artistic production is a result of the literary boom suffered in Latin America, amidst the 20th century, thus showing how, after a long time, the Americas start to influence the writings of other continents and, specially, Europe. Studies by Lukács, regarding historical novels, and Uslar Pietri (1990), regarding "Magic Realism", also make themselves useful, once that the delimitations of the literary genre, as well as its main characteristics, are possible of being observed in Buch's novel. ; O presente artigo procura analisar a influência que a escrita literária peculiar e os modos de pensamento contemporâneo em voga no continente americano alcançaram em outros nichos literários tendo, como exemplo específico a Alemanha. Para isso, o foco recairá sobre o romance histórico alemão "Rede des toten Kolumbus am Tag des jüngsten Gerichts" (1992), do autor Hans Christoph Buch. Nele, observa-se como os processos retóricos e estéticos da narrativa se assemelham àquilo que foi considerado como "novo romance histórico latinoamericano", segundo estudos de Aínsa (1988-1991), Menton (1993), Fleck (2007) de outros. Este modelo de produção artística é uma das formas originais do boom literário ocorrido na América Latina, em meados do século XX, demonstrando, assim, como, após muito tempo, as Américas começam a influenciar a escrita de outros continentes e, principalmente, a Europa.     Através da ideia de quimera, esse ensaio tentará compreender a constituição aberta do personagem Odradek, da narrativa curta "A preocupação do pai de família" de Franz Kafka. O interestante nessa construção literária seria o deslocamento (inclusive das possibilidades de expressão de gênero nas línguas) que Odradek impõe ao esforço constante do narrador (representante de grupos sociais específicos) em categorizá-lo e, por consequência, do leitor, que tentaria encerrá-lo num tipo fechado de interpretação. Odradek parece um tipo de ser incapturável pelas principais categorias, sejam elas literárias, biológicas ou sociais, que ajudaram a fundar a ideia de Modernidade. ; Through the use of the idea of chimera, this essay will attempt to understand the open constitution of the character Odradek, from the short story "The cares of a family man" by Franz Kafka. What is interesting in this short story is the displacement (which includes the possibilities of gender expression in languages) Odradek imposes on the narrator's constant effort (representing specific social groups) to categorize him/it and consequently the reader's effort to enclose him/it in a closed interpretation. Odradek seems to be impossible to apprehend using main literary, biological or social categories which helped found of the idea of Modernity

    In this article I analyze the synchronic presence, within the German academic production of the last decades, of works which can be together understood as part of an uncoordinated effort of epistemologic renewal and historization of the artistic episteme. From the contributions of different authors I synthesize the constitutive lines of those two issues, which were distinct, although convergent in their consequences for the comprehension of art and critique. First, I show how the epistemologic renewal was intermeshed with new patterns of perception of time and with the scientific concept of emergence; then, I discuss how the historization of the artistic episteme was strongly devoted to the institutional critique. ... O artigo analisa a presença sincrônica, na produção acadêmica alemã das últimas décadas, de trabalhos que, em conjunto, podem ser compreendidos como parte de um esforço nãocoordenado de renovação epistemológica e de historicização da episteme artística. Das contribuições de autores diversos são sintetizadas as linhas de constituição daquelas duas grandes problemáticas, que foram distintas, porém convergentes, em seus desdobramentos para a compreensão da arte e da crítica de arte. De um lado, mostra-se a imbricação da renovação epistemológica com novos padrões de percepção do tempo e com o conceito científico de "emergência"; de outro, vê-se como a historicização da episteme artística esteve fortemente dedicada à crítica institucional. ...

    The present article seeks to analyze the influence that contemporary methods of literary writing and modes of thought used on the American continent have had on other literary niches, having as a specific example, Germany. For that, the focus will fall on the German historical novel "Rede des toten Kolumbus am Tag des jüngsten Gerichts" (1992), from the author Hans Christoph Buch. In the novel, it is observed how the rhetorical and aesthetical processes of narrative come close to what was considered as "new metafictional historical novel", according to studies by Aínsa (1988-1991), Menton (1993) and Fleck (2007). ... O presente artigo procura analisar a influência que a escrita literária peculiar e os modos de pensamento contemporâneo em voga no continente americano alcançaram em outros nichos literários tendo, como exemplo específico a Alemanha. Para isso, o foco recairá sobre o romance histórico alemão "Rede des toten Kolumbus am Tag des jüngsten Gerichts" (1992), do autor Hans Christoph Buch. Nele, observa-se como os processos retóricos e estéticos da narrativa se assemelham àquilo que foi considerado como "novo romance histórico latinoamericano", segundo estudos de Aínsa (1988-1991), Menton (1993), Fleck (2007) de outros. ...

    A compreensão histórica de literatura no primeiro romantismo alemão decorre, entre outros aspectos, dos escritos de Winckelmann, Herder, Lessing, assim como da relação dialética entre o clássico e o romântico estabelecida por Goethe e Schiller. Nesse contexto, a aproximação antitética entre o antigo e o romântico tem um papel central na determinação das principais teorias românticas de literatura. O artigo investiga e discute a importância da antinomia entre o antigo e o moderno na constituição e desenvolvimento das teorias literárias de Friedrich Schlegel no primeiro romantismo alemão The historical understanding of literature in German Early Romanticism arises, among other things, from the writings of Winckelmann, Herder, Lessing as well as of the dialectical interplay between classic and romantic established by Goethe and Schiller. In this context, the antithetic approximation of ancient and modern plays a central role in the determination of the major romantic theories of literature. This paper investigates and discusses the importance of the antinomy of ancient and modern in the constitution and development of literary theories of Friedrich Schlegel in German Early Romanticism.
