    Die polemischen Dialoge des deutschen Reichsritters und poeta laureatus Ulrich von Hutten (1488 – 1523) konnten in den reformatorischen Diskursen zwischen 1517 und 1521 eine große Wirkung entfalten, die an ihrer Verbreitung und ihrem Einfluss auf die späteren deutschsprachigen Reformationsdialoge ablesbar ist. Die vorliegende Monographie analysiert das Wirkungspotenzial dieser fiktiven lateinischen Dialoge aus literaturwissenschaftlicher Perspektive und untersucht die vielschichtigen Positionierungsprozesse, die der Autor vornimmt, indem er prominente Zeitgenossen, nicht zuletzt seine eigene persona, an den Dialogen teilnehmen lässt. Die Gesprächsteilnehmer positionieren sich selbst und ihre Gesprächspartner nicht nur inhaltlich, sondern darüber hinaus im weitesten Sinne sozial. Das Spannungsfeld, das sich zwischen diesen intradiegetischen Positionierungen der Dialogteilnehmer und den faktischen der realen Personen aufbaut, erzeugt das komplexe Wirkungspotenzial der Dialoge.
