Topic: Boundary Reflections, from the Edges of Empire to the “Mauer im Kopf”

Abstracts are invited on the topic of literary works or essays that reflect on political and cultural boundaries constructed, demolished, and bridged within the German-speaking-world, from 1890 to the present. The scope of boundary questions that could be explored in this session ranges from issues of cultural difference within local communities to the effects of shifting international political borders.

Please submit a 250-word abstract and a brief CV by March 31, 2015, to Dr. Katherine Arens, The University of Texas at Austin (arens(at)austin.utexas.edu) and Amanda Randall, The University of Texas at Austin (azrandall(at)utexas.edu).
