The Department of Germanic & Slavic Languages & Literatures at Penn State University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the level of advanced Assistant Professor or junior Associate Professor, starting Fall 2014. Applicants should have native or near-native proficiency in German and English, with a specialization in 20th and 21st century German literature and culture. Additional research interests in digital humanities and/or in related fields such as comparative literature, history, Jewish studies, philosophy, or women's studies are desirable. A significant record of scholarship including a book in or near publication is required. The teaching load is two courses per semester, including both undergraduate and graduate levels.
