TitelPre-Doctoral Fellowship in German Literature, University of Notre Dame (USA)
BeschreibungThe Department of German and Russian Languages and Literatures invites applications for a program to support graduate students completing their Ph.D. in German studies. Students affiliated with any graduate program are welcome to apply. The successful applicant to this Pre-Doctoral Fellowship should be ABD and writing a dissertation on an aspect of German literary studies broadly conceived. Pre-Doctoral fellows will have the opportunity to work toward the completion of their dissertation while participating in various aspects of the life of the department and the College of Arts and Letters. The College is home to a broad array of German Studies faculty—both in the Department of German and Russian and also in other departments, such as Philosophy, Theology, History, and the Medieval Institute—who can provide a rich intellectual context for the Fellow’s studies and professional development. The Fellowship, which extends from August 2013 to May 2014, provides a stipend of $15,000 plus a research fund of $2,000. Fellows will be asked to teach one course per semester for the German section of the department. Send applications (cover letter, CV, and two letters of recommendation) by March 8, 2013, to:

David Gasperetti, Chair
