Since the 1970s, the Southwest/Texas PCA/ACA has sought to foster
interdisciplinary study of popular and American literary, historical,
visual, and other cultural and media texts. We like to think we are a unique
organization that pioneered the study of Popular Culture before it was cool.
While our offerings have grown over the years to include areas of
international study, we still invite scholars and artists to share their
perspectives on American life in the diverse region of the Southwest.
