Assistant Professor of German – 2 positions

Two tenure-track positions at the assistant professor level in the Department of German beginning August 2012. Requirements: Ph.D. in hand by August 2012, native or native-like proficiency in German and English, demonstrated excellence in teaching, outstanding scholarly potential or record, strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate education and professional engagement. Area: post-1750 German literature and culture, specialization open. The successful candidates will be expected to teach at the undergraduate and graduate level, in German and English. Teaching includes a large lecture course in English, and intermediate and advanced German language. Teaching load: 2 courses per semester.

Review of applications will begin on October 31, but all applications submitted by November 10 will be considered. We will interview at MLA.
