BeschreibungThe Department of Foreign Languages at Mississippi State University has
an immediate opening in German for a full-time lecturer to start August
17. The position entails teaching four courses each semester, and there
is the possibility of teaching between one and four courses in the
summer, depending on enrollments. The courses would be first-year
German. Compensation would be $3000 per course, i.e., at least $24,000
per year, with the possibility of an additional $3000-$12,000 for summer
teaching, depending on enrollments. The position carries full benefits,
MSU tuition remission for dependents, and employees can take up to two
free courses at MSU per semester themselves. The full-time lecturer
would also be working with two wonderful colleagues in German in a
supportive, friendly environment. Qualified applicants must have at
least a master’s degree in German.
