Summary: This is a twelve-month 0.7 FTE appointment to cover teaching and administration in German language, literature and culture.
Details: The successful candidate will be a member of the German Department. He or she will have responsibilities for the teaching and administration of the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in German. The appointment will be a proportional one, amounting to 0.7 of a full post. The appointee will teach literary modules within German, and contribute to the Department's language teaching. Expertise in early modern German literature, and/or in comparative literature and literary theory, would be an advantage but is not a requirement for this post.
Salary: The appointment will be made, dependent on relevant qualifications and experience, within the Grade 6 scale. The salary will be 0.7 of the grade 6 scale. The range will be £33,193 per annum inclusive of £2,323 London Allowance (pro rata £23,235, inclusive of £1,626 London Allowance) to £39,185 per annum inclusive of £2323 London Allowance (pro rata £27,430 per annum, inclusive of £1,626 London Allowance).
