Papers are invited on all areas of German Studies. Especially encouraged are papers that address intercultural themes and/or theoretical positions on interculturality. Papers might cover, but are not limited to one or more of the following topics:

• Intercultural Dialogues between the Arts and Sciences in the German-Speaking World
• Encounters between German-Speaking and Eastern Intellectual Traditions
• Interculturalism and Social Movements in the German-Speaking World


The German Language in the World
• History of the German Language
• External Influences on Contemporary German Language Usage
• Minority German-Speaking Communities
• The German Language in Australia


Directions in Foreign-Language Pedagogy
• Intercultural Methodology and Praxis in German-Language Teaching
• German-Language Teaching and Multicultural Policy in Australia/World-Wide
• Measuring Intercultural Competence in the Classroom


Papers will be accepted in either English or German.
A proposal of 200-300 words plus title should be sent to
